ReCreativity is the culmination of a lifetime of experimentation in building furniture and home accessories from recycled and natural materials. Way before it was fashionable to do so, James Doran-Webb, a sculptor of driftwood animals and the founder of ReCreativity Ltd, has spent much of his professional life experimenting with up-cycling different materials from garbage sites and scrap yards into usable art; lamps from scrap tin cans, chairs from paper pulp, picture frames from abandoned boat keels and tables from old houses to name but a few.
Over the last 25 years, James has continued his explorations with the help of his company, Cebu Homecraft Inc. of which he heads the design direction.
ReCreativity takes the concept a step further. We value the reuse of materials, the nurture of dexterous craftsmen to manipulate them and the research and development of processes to advance our vision. We endeavor to make furniture and functional art that will stand the test of time and appreciate in value as pieces are passed on to future generations.
We love working with clients to build custom made pieces for both private homes and public places. Our processes, our craftsmen, our workshop and our management of the transfer and installation of the finished piece means that from conceptualisation to installation, the entire journey is under our control and management, ensuring more value for the client and all those involved in the creative process.
Whether it’s outdoor furniture or an indoor installation, If you would like to explore the possibility of adapting our designs to suit your space, please let us know what you have in mind. We’d be happy to explore possibilities and sketch up a proposal or two!
